Pennsylvania Proposes a Home Lemon Law Bill for PA Residents

The General Assembly of Pennsylvania has brought HB 1821, a new Home Lemon Law bill to the Committee on Consumer Affairs to help PA homeowners seek relief under the law against fraudulent home builders and contractors.
Known as a "New Home Construction Consumer Protection Bill", the proposed bill seeks to provide for:
- the regulation of home construction contracts
- the registration of certain home builders
- prohibiting certain acts by contractors and home builders
- providing for penalties to contractors and home builders
- establishing the Home Builder Guaranty Fund
- claims against the fund
